59th Annual ESTA Conference Confirmed
The 59th Annual ESTA Conference will take place at the School of Earth, Environment and Sustainability, University of Leeds between 11th – 13th September 2026.
The programme will again include a mix of keynote speeches and interactive workshops, running from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon.
Highlights will include:
- Lab Tours
- Geophysics Demonstration
- Geology of Wine Talk
- Conference Dinner and after dinner speaker
Workshops and practical demonstrations including:
- QGIS
- Mantle Plumes
- Maths for Geology
Sunday will feature a field trip.
‘New Spec, No Stress’: Switching to the Eduqas Geology Specification
If you are concerned about how to transition from OCR to Eduqas then join us at the ESTA Annual Conference on Saturday 12th September for an engaging session designed specifically to support teachers transitioning from the OCR Geology specification to the WJEC Eduqas A Level Geology course.
This session, run by ESTA members currently teaching the Eduqas specification, will provide a clear overview of the WJEC Eduqas structure, content, and assessment approach, highlighting key differences and opportunities so you can be confident when adapting your current schemes of work.
